Suitable for Passiontide  , the New Chamber Choir Heidenheim gets in the mood for Holy Week with Gabriel Fauré's Requiem. The seven-movement work was composed in 1887/88 and exists in two different orchestral versions. On April 14th the work sounds in a piano version, interpreted by the Ulm pianist Alwina Meissner.

Twenty-year-old high school graduate Sophia Schulze   from the Schiller-Gymnasium in Heidenheim sings the  Pie Jesu with her crystal-clear soprano voice.

The baritone parts are sung by twenty-year-old Nathanael Koloska, who has been studying music with a major in singing at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences since the end of 2021.
