The President of the Lions Club Ostalb-Ipf,Martina Stark, cordially invites you to the "Jubilee Concert" with the New Chamber Choir Heidenheim on Saturday, December 3rd, 7 p.m. in the evangelical town church of Sankt Blasius. For the President, the charity concert in the 25th year of the Lions Club Ostalb-Ipf is a special highlight. There are 60 choristers between the ages of 14 and 20 who have dedicated themselves to choral music. Once established as a pre-Christmas concert, it has become an integral part of the "Christmas cultural program" as part of the Bopfinger Nikolausmarkt.
In the "anniversary year" it was possible to engage the "New Chamber Choir" for the charity concert in Advent, an ensemble from the region that is internationally renowned and has a brilliant command of even the most difficult choral literature. With the charity concert, President Martina Stark wants to help "people in need" and in particular to support the orphan, children and youth projects in Germany and abroad with donations. With this year's classic, lovers of choral music can expect a high-quality sound experience of a special kind, which conjures up the anticipation of Advent and Christmas in the hearts of the listeners.
The founder and director of the choir is the music teacher Thomas Kammel, who knows how not only to inspire his young people with literature from different genres, but also to encourage them to take part in the international competitions that take place every year. The remarkable list of prizes and medals won is long and speaks for itself: They returned decorated with gold from their world trips to Europe, America, South Africa and most recently Brazil with great success. The first German Language Choir Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg was won four times in a row.
The proceeds from the charity concert benefit orphans and campaigns that help people in need and open up opportunities and prospects for a better life.
The singers take the concert-goers on a sonic journey through Advent, which awakens anticipation for Christmas.
Admission is free.
At the end of the concert, the Lions ask for a donation for the various relief efforts.
